As we embark on this ambitious journey of establishing this unique Village of HOPE, and setting up the infrastructure and raising the funds to take this dream forward, the Village of HOPE Foundation has started certain interim activities that make a difference to the beneficiaries and the community. Given below are some of the selected activities. Our interim activities are ongoing in nature, and this page will be updated periodically to keep you abreast on the happenings.

Educational support and assistance

The trustees of the Village of HOPE Foundation have identified deserving and vulnerable students from economically weaker families who have approached us for support in ensuring continued education, who without our help would have no access to education and schooling. Over the years, numerous children have benefited from financial support received from the Village of HOPE Foundation and progressed in their studies. Details of our beneficiaries are not published on our website as we respect their privacy. However in line with our principles of transparency, these may be verified by any supporters at any time by visiting our office.

We can do more if you join hands in our endeavor to offer educational support and assistance to the deserving students. You can rest assured that your contributions directly reach the beneficiaries and the Foundation does not use your contributions to cover any of its administrative expenses.

Medical Support and Assistance

medical The Village of HOPE Foundation is approached by various families who are in dire need of medical support and assistance. After evaluating the requirements, the trustees extend financial support to meet certain crucial requirements and also intervene in cases where some conditions are caused by medical negligence. The Foundation has supported requests for life support medication, kidney dialysis, surgical interventions to name a few. Details of our beneficiaries are not published on our website as we value their privacy. However in line with our principles of transparency, these may be verified by any supporters at any time by visiting our office.

Educational Achiever’s Endowment Fund

The Village of HOPE Foundation has established in 2013 an educational achiever’s endowment fund at the St. Thomas Marthoma Church Chennai, which will see two student toppers in the 10th and 12th Grades from the church receiving awards and citation every year. This endowment titled The Village of HOPE Foundation Award will also raise more awareness about the foundation and its activities through the repeated advocacy and propaganda around the awards each year. This endowment is in line with the Village of HOPE Foundation’s objective of supporting educational activities for deserving students.

Outreach Activities

OUTREACH_2 The Village of HOPE Foundation strongly believes that many of the problems faced by the disabled children can be overcome if awareness is created in society about their potential and about their abilities. In this regard, the trustees of Village of HOPE regularly reach out to schools, colleges, corporate and other organizations and deliver messages, lectures, and conduct workshops.

Supporting other organizations and sister concerns

Paper Team The Village of HOPE Foundation also finds it important to extend a helping hand to other sister concerns and organizations who are involved in commendable activities that touch the lives of those in need of help. Our support may be very minuscule, however we are happy to team up and encourage them in their activities.

Any support given to these deserving organizations is funded by the trustees of Village of HOPE themselves and not from any donations received from our well-wishers.

It is our belief that in serving the mentally retarded and intellectually challenged children, and the underprivileged in the society, we are NEVER competing against each other, but complementing each other by joining hands in carrying out Gods work on earth.
